Hawaii Vacation-Part 4-Kauai

Our Hawaii Vacation series continues with the island of Kauai, described the fourth and last island in this series.

This small island has an incredible variety of landscapes. Sculpted more than six million years ago by the forces of nature, its spectacular landscapes ranging from posts Na cliffs on the North Shore for the dramatic Waimea Canyon. Kaui slower seems more suited to a quiet family vacation or outdoor adventure.

The oldest and northernmost of the four major Hawaii, Kauai only covers 553 miles square, is a feature, "round" island with a population of 51,000 inhabitants.

Like the other Hawaiian islands, the warmest and coldest differ by only a few months about 8 degrees. The sea temperature is remarkably consistent, hovering between 72-76 degrees all year.

The people of the island are among the friendliest in the country in an annual survey of holidaymakers. Two of the stations of Kauai - Princeville Resort and the Hyatt - are consistently rated among the top twenty tropical resort in a popular travel magazine.

The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa (formerly Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa) is situated on the sunny side of the island. With 602 rooms, 4Tennis courts, golf course, five restaurants, cocktail bars, child care, swimming pools and spas, this is a luxury resort.

This canyon is the site for a series of films, including Jurasic Park and Raiders of the Lost Ark, in fact, more than two dozen Hollywood movies were filmed in Kauai!

Hiking trails of the park offers a beautiful view of the gorge and lush "forest environment. The Canyonit is also open to hiking, fishing and camping.

Kauai's Na Pali cliffs on the coast are pure, wild beauty, with deep narrow valleys of Focus on the sea. Waterfalls, fast flowing rivers and extensive stone terraces remain in the valley, where ancient Native Hawaiians lived.

The 11 miles Kalalau Trail provides the only land access to this part of the coast. The path winds through towering cliffs and through lush valleys, then falls to the seaLevel on the beaches of Hanakapi'ai and Kalalau.

But much to see the island only by air. To see Kauai by helicopter is like nothing else in the world, with its waterfalls, uninhabited remote gorges and hidden valleys.

Some of the best beaches of Kauai: Hanalei Bay Beach is a perfect semicircle of white sand on the sparkling tropical waters with a backdrop of waterfalls 4000 meters. It is often described not only as the most beautiful beach in Kauai, but also the most beautiful in Hawaii. The beach is about 125 yards wide and framed by the Waipa River to the west and the Hanalei River onEast on the North Shore of Kauai. The bottom slopes gradually, making a nice beach for young people, and there are large coral reefs at both ends of the bay.

Haen Beach, appeared with his grainy yellow sand and clear waters offshore reefs of the Emerald Coast, the tropical beach stereotypes in many Hollywood movies. The summer months offer excellent swimming and snorkeling. However, the winter produces great waves for surfers who are fun, but dangerous for everyone else.

Tunnel BeachSnorkeling is excellent site on the North Shore. The beach two miles long, stretching from Ha'ena to Hanalei Colony Resort Kauai Beach Park The center portion has a huge crescent-shaped reef off the coast, where snorkelers can eels, turtles and other colorful sea creatures. Excellent summer Tunnel Beach has great waves in winter, can make swimming dangerous.

Shipwreck Beach on the south, the sky is a body surfer. This Kauai beach Keoneloa Bay is one of the largestStretches of beach in the Poipu area. While most of the year, Shipwreck Beach is more suitable for strong swimmers and surfers. This is the powerful and potentially dangerous waves breaking close to shore.

Whether you favor a pleasant and relaxing at a station or oudoor adventure in a tropical paradise, the island of Kauai is a good choice.
